A few months ago, my close friend was searching for a reputable medical spa that could address her skincare concerns and provide a rejuvenating experience. After thorough research and reading numerous positive reviews, she stumbled upon Prophecy Medical Spa in San Diego. Intrigued by the glowing testimonials and the comprehensive range of services they offered, she decided to delve deeper into what this spa had to offer. Her curiosity led her to schedule a consultation, and from the moment she stepped through their doors, she knew she had discovered something truly special. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, coupled with the expertise of their staff, immediately put her at ease. I knew when it would be time for me to visit California, I would come to this wonderful place myself to learn more about Prophecy Medical Spa. Today we have a great opportunity to speak with the managing director and to get to know what this wonderful place entails.

– Thank you for taking the time to speak with us today. Could you please introduce yourself and tell us about your role at the medical spa?

– My name is Bernice Ledford and I'm a manager of operations at Prophecy Med Spa. My role involves overseeing the day-to-day activities, ensuring quality service delivery, and managing our team of professionals. I have been a crucial part of Prophecy Med Spa since it first opened its doors. We have two locations, one in Idaho, and the second in La Mesa, CA, and coming up with our third location in San Diego.

– Can you give us an overview of the services offered at Prophecy Med Spa?

– We offer a range of cosmetic and medical treatments aimed at enhancing both the appearance and overall wellness of our clients. This includes services such as laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, acne, dark circles, and blackhead treatments, injectables like Botox and dermal fillers, as well as various massage therapies and wellness packages. What is unique to our spa is the combination of the following services that provide impeccable results. PiXel8-RF Microneedling and Radio Frequency (RF) Microneedling is a non-surgical procedure used to smooth and tighten skin, slow the effects of aging, and address other skin texture concerns with little to no downtime. It is now considered “the newest essential” for successful aesthetic practice.

Spectrum Laser/IPL Treatment. A powerful and incredibly portable laser and IPL system in one. Offering 4 different lasers and an IPL in one convenient platform, the system can be used for a variety of cosmetic procedures, including skin resurfacing, tattoo removal, removal of pigmented lesions, vascular reduction, hair removal, and more. Featuring proven technology, the Spectrum offers incredible functionality in an easy-to-use 5-in-1 platform.

These two treatment platforms are our most popular medical treatments offered.

– Those are indeed comprehensive services. What sets Prophecy Med Spa apart from other spas or clinics offering similar treatments?

– One of the key aspects that sets us apart is our focus on personalized care and attention to each client's unique needs and goals. We believe in taking a holistic approach, combining advanced technology with the expertise of our highly trained staff to deliver safe and effective results. We have a fabulous Dr. Maryanne Hannay on call who reviews clinical tests, and procedures and discusses the best treatment offered to a client. In addition, we always have 2 registered nurses in our locations. Our commitment to ongoing education and staying at the forefront of industry trends ensures that our clients receive the latest and most innovative treatments available. The very important point I would like to make is that we offer unique financial support for clients and have different plans to help with paying for treatments.

– That's commendable. How does your spa ensure the safety and well-being of its clients during treatments?

– Safety is our top priority at Prophecy Med Spa. We adhere to strict protocols and guidelines, and our staff undergo rigorous training to ensure they are proficient in performing procedures safely. Additionally, we only use FDA-cleared machines and high-quality products, and our facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. As mentioned previously we have a doctor supervising all nurses and aestheticians to make sure each client’s medical history and any medication are taken into consideration.

– It's great to hear that safety is prioritized. Lastly, what advice would you give to someone considering visiting Prophecy Medical Spa for the first time?

– My advice would be to schedule a consultation with one of our experts. During the consultation, we can discuss your concerns, goals, and any questions you may have, as well as recommend the most suitable treatments for you. We need to establish a rapport with our clients and ensure they feel comfortable and confident in their decision to choose us for their cosmetic and wellness needs. – Lastly Bernice, can you share the most fascinating change for a client and yourself as a professional?

– My client Suzette Marino, 83 years old, only last year decided to start treating her deep-set lines, wrinkles, and saggy skin. She contemplated doing plastic surgery, but after doing her research, and seeing that other treatment options do not subject one to going under the knife, she decided to try the aesthetic approach that delivers more natural results. Needless to say, she has been with us for only 4 months and now she looks 7-9 years younger.
