Our 10th anniversary
International Competition «Man of the Year 2020/2021», a solemn ceremony of
awarding the winners and the holiday itself were more than successful, leaving
in the memory of all participants the most profound impressions. This is evidenced
by the cheerful sparks in the eyes of the guests, especially the laureates,
surrounded by their large families, pride on the faces of relatives and
relatives, imprinted in a huge number of photos.
There, at the restaurant «Da
Mikelle Illagio», I was in the cares, some fuss, full of excitement, which is
understandable to anyone who has ever organized such a large-scale
inter-community celebration.
We’ve been preparing for
this day for almost six months. Selection of winners (13 out of 27 declared);
interviews with them; two issues of the magazine in Russian devoted to their
charity activities; booklets in English for the event itself; selection of
prizes; writing of certificates of appreciation and their design; Extensive
work with Kaykov Media to prepare video clips about almost every winner and
create an unusual «live» banner «Man of the Year»; work with guests, whose
number (almost 260) It exceeded all our expectations and therefore required
special art and delicacy in the allocation of seats in the hall; the decoration
of the hall, especially the decoration of tables with candles and flowers;
musical pauses and much more. It wasn’t easy, but our female asset can handle
it. The project succeeded and the event passed as we planned, at a high
organizational, intellectual and creative level, surpassing our expectations.
It was held under the auspices of and with the direct participation of the
Congress of Bukhara Jews of the USA & Canada, and I am very grateful to
President of the Congress Boris Kandov for his direct participation, Care and
many wonderful ideas throughout the long organizational period.
As I do every time in the
afterword of our events, it is our established tradition that I thank my
like-minded and loyal associates, without whom this celebration could not have
taken place. This is our women’s organization «Estera-Malka» and the entire
editorial board of «Women’s World». They are all well known to the community
and to the readers of the magazine on the good deeds that have been going on for
more than 22 years. But I would like to reiterate their names, which may have
been forgotten during the long public lull during the pandemic.
It is known that the main
burden in the organization of events falls on managers, on the responsibility,
discipline and ingenuity of which depends on the success of such events. And
that is why a huge gratitude to my main associate Eleanor Nectalova, who
despite her extremely serious main work in the profession, was able to do
everything possible to ensure that everything was dignified and beautiful. She
was assisted in this by Svetlana Kaikova, Mara Bababekova, Mira Kagsanova, Luba
Pilosova, Nina Kailyakova, Svetlana Muratova, Svetlana Khanimova, Dina
Katanova, Tamara Kataeva, Luba Ibragimova, Jaffa Khaimova, Ninova, Nakama,
Nakama and others. Some of them were also sponsors of this holiday. Many thanks
to them all from me personally and from all participants of the celebration.
I express my special
gratitude to the true friend, well-known journalist, literary editor of
«Women’s World» from the day of its foundation - Rene Yelizarova for her wise
advice, tireless historical chronicle of our women’s movement, High sense of
responsibility and unlimited love for his work.
