Among the
many Jewish national holidays, Hanukkah holds a special place. It is a celebration that reminds us of the resilience of the Jewish people,
their commitment to tradition, and their ability to preserve their values, as
well as the Miracle at its core. Today, Hanukkah serves as a reminder of the
importance of light, unity, and hope—values that remain timeless in every era.
In
preparation for this remarkable holiday, Rebbetzin Esther Shimonova and a
dedicated team of activists worked tirelessly. On the evening of December 25,
as the first Hanukkah candle was lit, more than a hundred elegantly dressed
women gathered for a festive event, brimming with enthusiasm and excitement to
celebrate this significant occasion.
The
evening’s program had it all: vibrant music led by an experienced DJ, a
sumptuous buffet, an engaging raffle, exciting games and competitions, as well
as singing and dancing. Yet the most important element was the atmosphere among
the participants—a genuine sense of joy, youthful exuberance, and an unshakable
belief in a brighter future. One guest summed up the evening beautifully: “I
don’t even want to leave!”
This evening truly became a celebration of light, bringing everyone together and filling their hearts with hope.
