On January 5, 2025, a triumphant
concert dedicated to Israel and in memory of its victims took place at the
Queens Theater in the Park. This unique event was organized by Sandra Gadaeva—a
talented producer, director, licensed occupational therapist, and graduate of
Long Island University.
Sandra's passion for dance began in
her childhood under the guidance of her first teacher, the legendary Malika
Kalantarova. As she grew older, Sandra realized that art and dance could serve
as powerful tools to help people—both adults and children—overcome not only
physical challenges but also emotional struggles. Combining her medical
education with her love of dance, Sandra founded the "OT" Dance
Studio in 2020.
The studio offers classes for
children of various age groups: toddlers (ages 3–6), middle group (ages 7–12),
and teens (ages 13–16). The primary goal of these classes is not only to help
children address health issues such as sensory regulation, attention deficits,
lack of self-organization, and movement coordination but also to teach them
body control, build endurance, develop a sense of rhythm, and foster teamwork.
An equally important aim of the studio is to engage children away from screens
and into a space for creative development.
The results have been remarkable:
the children no longer fear the stage, are comfortable performing in front of
an audience, and fully enjoy the process of dancing. The concert was a true
celebration—excited parents, vibrant costumes, stunning stage design, and
carefully curated DJ music all came together to create an unforgettable
atmosphere. The thunderous applause from the audience was the ultimate
testament to the evening's success.
Thank you, Sandra, for your talent,
enthusiasm, and dedication! We wish you continued success in nurturing our
children’s growth and strengthening our community!
